An antique saladier or salad bowl is useful for so many tasks. I find it’s the perfect mixing bowl. But this large piece can hold your favorite yarns, fruit on your counter, and of course, a delicious salad.

Ironstone is known for its durability and rich patina. This is a lovely French antique Longwy bowl with its hand-painted design. Often, you find these pieces in a one-color transferware pattern. This one is a harder-to-find two-color design with a modern sense. It would feel right at home in a mid century kitchen.

Marked by the years as any authentic ironstone should be, there are visible signs of age. But there are no major cracks or chips. This old beauty is still ready to serve for a few more generations.
