Artist Set with Porcelain Dishes Trimmed in Gold

$65.00

Old artist supplies are rare. They are used and then discarded. For my creative tools, I like to search for beautiful objects that can serve in a different way. My artist sets bring together lovely vintage items that can inspire your watercolor and / or oil painting. An old knife rest can be repurposed as a brush holder. Little trinket dishes and butter pats can hold handmade paint. Small pitchers and mustard pots can now hold water.

This collection contains several small porcelain dishes with gold trim. One is a rare watercolor godet or paint pan. Other pieces might have been from a child’s tea set. I’m especially in love with the vintage cut crystal ashtray with the gold filagree. It’s perfect to hold brush and water. The vintage porcelain tray has gold detail and is monogrammed with gold letters.

All the pieces are in very good vintage condition. There are tiny imperfections in the original finish to illustrate the authenticity of its age. There are no chips or cracks.

Together, this set inspires creativity with both its beauty and usefulness.

Please note that paint, brushes, and tools shown in the photos are not included.

Porcelain Monogrammed Tray: 5 3/4 inches (13 cm) x 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm)

Cut Crystal and Gold Dish: 3 1/2 inches (8.5 cm) in diameter

Antique Cut Crystal Knife Rest: 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) in length

Small porcelain dishes range in size from 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm) in diameter to 1 1/2 inches (3 cm)
