I made a trip up to Limoges and by accident I found a fabulous brocante shop. It was made up of several buildings housing furniture, housewares, and fine antiques. In a back corner, I found a box filled with little porcelain Limoges dishes and lids. I bought the entire lot because when was I going to find these again? They are absolutely perfect for holding handmade watercolor paint. Perfect. In French, they’re called godets - or little pots for paint.

This collection includes 4 godets and a small rectangular dish that can serve as a watercolor palette. All you need is to carve out a quiet tiny corner, add in a small table and chair, and you’re ready to create.

The Limoges dishes measure 1 inch (2 cm) high and 1 ½ inches (3 cm) in diameter.

The palette is 2 ½ inches (6 cm) X 6 1/2 inches (17 cm).
