Sometimes I’m attracted to objects because they’re so darn cheeky.

This small, vintage Limoges trinket dish is hand-painted with a lovely French landscape scene and gold-stamped flowers. Included are the words:

Il n’y a pas de mariage dans le Paradis

“There is no marriage in Paradise.”

Somehow, I think this would make the perfect, tongue-in-cheek anniversary gift.

It is in fair vintage condition with appropriate age and fading to the gold flowers. There are no chips on the rim. It is marked on the bottom.

I’ll never find another one like it.
