Vintage Brass Toast Rack with Villeroy & Boch Porcelain Plates

Vintage Brass Toast Rack with Villeroy & Boch Porcelain Plates
The original idea for a toast rack was to keep the slices from getting soggy. Others argue that it just makes the toast get colder quicker. Still, they do look pretty on a brunch table.
Here in the French countryside, you don’t find them often unless you head toward the Dordogne region, where there is a large English population. Still, I found this one last weekend. I decided to pair it with a set of four small Villeroy & Boch plates from my personal stash. Just seemed like they belonged together ;)
Perfect near your toaster, ready to hold any small breakfast goodie. I also have one that I use to bring my plates to the table for apèro. Looks wonderful next to a charcuterie board.
This vintage brass toast holder features a classic four-slot arched design with a central ring handle. Its sturdy construction and timeless aesthetic make it equally suitable for storing mail, letters, or napkins in a home office or entryway.
The four Villeroy & Boch white porcelain plates are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. They are marked on the bottom. See photo.
Toast rack measures:
Height: 5 inches (13 cm)
Length: 4 1/4 inches (10 cm)
Width: 3 inches (7.5 cm)
The plates measure 4 ½ inches (11.5 cm) in diameter
