There’s a special connection across time when you find a vintage piece that someone collected from their travels. You know it holds fond memories. This small trinket dish is a story of the beach in a small community called Les Conches nestled in the larger commune of Longeville sur Mer just north of La Rochelle on France’s northern Atlantic coast. Plage des Conches has a straight stretch of fine sand and renowned surf spots. When you hold the dish to your ear, you can almost hear the ocean ;)

The plate is in excellent vintage condition. There are no cracks or chips. I like to set them on my charcuterie board for a bit of interest. Collect a few and you have the perfect small appetizer plates to set at each guest’s place. I’ll continue to hunt for them and share them in Le Shop.
