Passementerie is the art of making elaborate trimmings or edgings. You can use them to trim pillows, bed skirts, drapes, slipcovers, and guest towels; the list is endless. Take a simple fabric and attach a French vintage trim to elevate your project.

This example is a little over 7 meters in length and is in excellent vintage condition. No stains. No rips. It has beautiful soft hues of sage green with an accent of a soft pinky apricot.

I have enjoyed this beauty sitting in a basket in my sewing room for more than a decade after finding it at a Paris flea market. It’s time it find a good home and a real project.
