Small Bavarian Dessert Plates

28.00

I have a vast white dish collection. I love that they go with everything. They serve a multitude of purposes. Such is the case with this set of 6 small plates. You could use them to enjoy a little dessert of cookies or chocolates. They are just the right size for a tea biscuit. They work well for small aperitifs. And I use them as saucers with my Turkish tea cups.

All but one are marked “Könil.pr.Tettau" Bavaria, Germany. The long version name of this German porcelain maker is “Königlich privilegierte Porzellanmanufaktur Tettau” and they have been manufacturing since the 18th century. The marking on the bottom of these plates tells me that they were made after 1968. They aren’t very old but they are so versatile.

They are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips or crazing to the glaze.
