Vintage Pewter Lotus Dish Artwork

When art meets function, it is a win for everyone. You could simply rest this exquisite, quality piece of pewter on a small stack of books on your nightstand and just enjoy it for its beautiful lotus flower. Or it could serve as a holder for a guest soap in a powder room. A surprise for visitors who notice all the simple details in your home. The workmanship is stunning.

This came to me by way of a flohmarkt in Berlin. The gentleman enjoys visiting his French family north of Paris. He knows all the best spots in the city for vintage finds. I am not an expert on pewter. I know what I like but I’m not sure of the origin of the markings. Perhaps this lotus dish made its way over the English Channel? No matter. It’s an opportunity to bring a bit of “purity and fortune” into your home. (Be sure to look at my other earlier lotus dish in the shop this month.)

Like most of my finds, ok . . . all of my finds, this sweet piece is difficult to let go. But I have a house to find, buy, and restore this coming spring in France. My online shop is a small part of making that happen. And so I share my treasures from my home to yours . . . Merci for your support!
